What this is
This is the privacy policy for The Body Calculator (“the site”), a collection of health calculators that run entirely in your web browser.
What we collect
The health values you enter into the calculators are never transmitted to any server we control. We operate no accounts, and we do not collect, store, or receive the numbers you type in.
Calculations happen on your device. Values you enter (weight, blood pressure, lab results, unit preferences) are written to your browser's localStorage under the keys kyn.profile, kyn.bodyUnit, and kyn.labUnit. This storage:
- Stays on the device you used to enter the data
- Never leaves that device
- Persists across reloads until you clear it
- Is not synced or backed up by us
You can erase it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies of its own. However, the third-party advertising described below may set cookies and similar technologies in your browser.
Advertising
This site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense, a service provided by Google LLC.
- We request non-personalized ads only. That means ads are chosen from the content of the page you are viewing, not from a profile of your past browsing across other sites.
- Google may still set cookies or similar technologies for non-personalized purposes such as frequency capping (limiting repeat ads), aggregated ad reporting, and fraud and abuse prevention.
- These ad requests are handled entirely by Google. They do not receive the health values you enter into the calculators — those never leave your browser.
- You can review and adjust your ad settings at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu (EU).

Third-party services
Other than the Google advertising described above, we embed no analytics, social-media widgets, or third-party fonts. Calculator source lines link to external research databases (PubMed, NEJM, WHO, etc.); clicking those links takes you off this site, and those destinations have their own privacy practices.
Server logs
The web server that delivers these pages keeps standard access logs (timestamp, requested path, response code, requesting IP address). Logs are kept for a short rolling window for debugging and abuse prevention, then discarded. They are not joined with anything you enter into the calculators.
Children's privacy
The site is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect data from any visitor.
Changes
If we change what is collected or which third-party services we use, this page will be updated and the Last updated date at the top will change. Material changes will also be announced on the homepage for at least 30 days.
